Beatboxer Köpi, cellist Daniel Brandl and saxophonist André Meisner form a fresh, experimental line-up: cello and saxophone appear both acoustically and electronically transformed, placing these traditional instruments in the light of the 21st century. Köpi’s human beatbox sends the drum machine to the bench.
The result is an electro-acoustic field of tension that links a wide range of musical styles: jazz, hip-hop, drum and bass, noise, ambient — almost anything seems possible. Yet the music remains transparent and accessible, showing that “modern” does not have to mean abstract or distant.
