Yhprum’s Law
Modern World Music
Yhprum’s Law — what was that again? The band certainly wins the prize for one of the most unpronounceable names. It becomes simple, however, when you read it backwards: the mysterious-sounding tongue-twister “Yhprum” reveals itself as an ananym of “Murphy”.
While Murphy’s Law states that “anything that can go wrong will go wrong”, Yhprum’s Law turns the idea around: anything that can work will work. With different life stories and musical backgrounds, the musicians throw themselves optimistically into a challenging blind flight — one that does not crash, but joyfully loops before landing safely. An act of balance with unconventional instrumentation and a colourful repertoire of songs, whose functioning is now determined by law.
